Using LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® to Reimagine the Role of Internal Auditing
Course Introduction
Internal auditing is often misunderstood and undervalued within organizations. This workshop, using the LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) methodology, is designed to help internal auditors reshape their professional identity, redefine the perception of internal auditing, and build stronger connections with stakeholders. Through hands-on activities and structured discussions, participants will explore their roles, uncover their unique value, and co-create strategies to enhance the image of internal auditing.
Course Objectives
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Reflect on the identity of internal auditors and their value to the organization.
- Analyze common perceptions and misconceptions of internal auditing.
- Redefine the role and image of internal auditors in alignment with organizational goals.

About the Speaker:
Dr. Ann Collins
Performance Coach, Emiratization Specialist & LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator
Dr. Ann is an experienced trainer and mentor with almost 20 years of experience in graduate training and mentoring. Her facilitation style is characterized by hand-on, experiential learning, prioritizing skill development. As a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® facilitator, Ann is passionate about inspiring creativity and innovative thinking and is committed to ensuring hands on experiential learning and ensuring “Play” is a a key element of all learning experiences.
Dr. Ann has a PhD from Dublin City University, a Masters in Strategic Management from Technical University Dublin and a Bachelors in European Business from Dublin City University. She is also a CIPD academic associate and a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®. Ann is a member of the Association of Coaching and is an ICF Performance Coach and Emotional Intelligence Coach. Ann is also an FHEA and a Certified Expert in Digital Teaching and Learning.
